WMSC #7
Ladies and Gentleman (in case Ted reads this), I have an announcement to make. Look to your right. No, I mean to the right of this post. See the word at the top of the right hand column? (Scroll up.) "Awards." Can you believe it? Last week I won a Top Mouse Award from Waltzingmouse Stamps for WMSC #6! I know, I'm still shocked! Then, the same night, I also found out that I won a Shining Light Award from Our Daily Bread Design for their Challenge #22! I've never won a challenge award before, and I win two on the same day??? It was like Christmas around here, let me tell you! I'm still celebrating. Thank you to two great companies for the honors!
Today's card is one I made for WMSC #7. I turned the sketch on its side, and used one of my new stamp sets from WMS, Victorian Frippery. What a great set! I can see so many possibilities for it. I chose a pink and black color palette for the card because it seemed Victorian and Parisian to me. The patterned paper I have had in my stash for ages, and I'm trying hard not to hoard supplies anymore. ;-> I colored the pearls with a Copic marker to match the pink shade and used some really cool looking ribbon from Michaels that I am not hoarding anymore either, LOL!

This is really BEAUTIFUL -- LOVE it!!! Great take on the sketch too.
Congrats Jill! Love this card too, I love the stamp and label you used.
Love the way you turned the sketch around. That ribbon is so cool! Did you pleat & stitch it, or did it come that way?
Jill, I saw that you won at WM and I'm so HAPPY for you, your card was AWESOME!! And this card is fabulous too! I love that you turned the sketch on it's side! I have the Victorian Frippery set on its way to me as I write this, I can't wait to get it, it's SO pretty! Beautiful work my friend!

Congrats - recognition is always nice...and two on the same day; even better!
I love that ribbon...and I have yet to try Waltzingmouse stamps...but I'm thinking about it. Aren't they more expensive because of where they ship from? I have to choose a set that I love and will use tons. It's on my radar though ;)
What a beautiful card! Love your take on the sketch, that ribbon looks fab!
Wahoo! Congrats on your awards!
Your card is beautiful!
Jillibean... I love your name...so many fun things to do with it... JillyMack...Jillybean...Jillie....you may hate all that - sorry...LOL
Anyway - - the sparkler...that's what it's called...a sparkler...from Webster's Pages. So not a button...a sparkler. I buy my Webster's stuff direct from them...look at this page: http://www.websterspages.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=139&Itemid=203

You turned the sketch! Clever girl! This is wonderful! I'm sorry I didn't get to your Christmas challenge. Life got in the way this month! Maybe next time - you have a lot of wonderful cards to choose from don't you.
SOOO well deserved Jill - your cards are just amazing. I love the effect you've got on this one with the pleats and how you've changed the orientation of the sketch. Gorgeous work.
